A lifetime learner at heart. I was the type of kid who loved bibliographies and the stories people told about themselves and the world around them. I grew up in the mental health field, and some of my earliest memories consist of playing with ADHD testing and IQ materials. I can remember conversations with family members consisting of human behavior and trying to understand humanity as a whole. When it was time to go to college I chose the path of psychology which seemed the most fitting for my constant yearning to understand those around me. I obtained my bachelor's in psychology from The University of Central Oklahoma and I have a Masters in Clinical Counseling from The University of Denver. When you are training to be a therapist much of the learning is also formed around understanding yourself better, therefore. I feel like training in this way helped me gain the ability to check my biases and create a safe environment for people who may not have had safe spaces before. My journey not unlike others is not a straight path nor is it paved on a single road. Like many before me some of my biggest growths have been through my greatest suffering. Through these hardships, I have been able to have a greater capacity for those who are in the middle of the storm. Therapy has only made sense to me as both a science and an art. My goal for anyone who walks into my office is that they feel seen, safe, and validated. In our modern world, there are many reasons to check out and become so distracted that we become disconnected from ourselves. I invite you to bring back your awareness and feel more connected in your life.  I am so looking forward to meeting you!
